Japan's nonwoven production has grown at a double-digit rate for four consecutive months

According to statistics from Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Japan's non-woven fabric production increased by 20.1% year-on-year to 27,071 metric tons in April, thus driving non-woven fabric production to grow at a double-digit rate for four consecutive months.

Production has increased across all manufacturing methods. The output of wet non-manufactured fabrics increased significantly by 32.5%, and the output of needle-tied non-manufactured fabrics increased by 25.8% to 6,417 metric tons.

From January to April 2010, Japan's non-woven fabric production increased by 20.1% year-on-year to 104127 metric tons.
