Recently, Stephen Warner, President of the International Industrial Textiles Industry Association (IFAI) (second from right), visited Zhejiang Haining Warp Knitting Industrial Park for the fifth time, and Shen Shunnian (first from right), director of the park management committee, accompanied a number of shopping mall stores, visited Hailid, Yuli Plastics and other companies, and had a discussion with enterprises on the development status and trend of the international industrial textile market.

Shen Shunnian said that the next step of the park will be to vigorously develop industrial textiles, improve the supporting industrial chain, and guide industrial textile enterprises to produce complete finished products to meet the needs of international markets such as Europe and the United States. He hopes that with the help of IFAI in the future, he will have more exchanges with American industrial fabric companies and strengthen industry-university-research cooperation with American universities.

Mr. Warner analyzed the current status and future development trends of the U.S. technical textile market. He said that although the impact of the financial crisis is decreasing and the global economy is showing signs of recovery, the recovery is still slow, and the employment rate of U.S. textile companies is still declining. However, the employment rate of technical textile companies has not decreased but increased, and the reason is that these companies focus on continuous innovation and have begun to turn their attention to the export market. Under the new situation, technical textile enterprises from all over the world should strengthen cooperation and jointly develop the global market. Talking about future development trends, Mr. Warner said that the demand for geosynthetics used in landfill treatment of cinder and coal ash will increase, and the related market will grow rapidly. Long-lasting non-woven fabrics, medical industry fabrics, environmentally friendly materials, recyclable products and other markets may also see a growth trend in the future.

At the symposium, Mr. Warner answered questions raised by some business representatives, such as the application of technical textiles such as advertising tarpaulins in the United States market under the current economic situation, and the proportion of demand for various technical textiles in the future.
